How do I identify my speaker’s wiring harness? The first is a harness that is custom-made for your vehicle. There is a specific plastic connector on the end of the speaker cable. The wiring harness will allow you to easily connect your speakers to this connector. It is much less work than cutting wires and welding connections.
Speaker Brackets or Adapters – You will also need speaker adapters or brackets. If your replacement speakers are not the same size as the originals, they will make the process easier. The speaker may not always line up perfectly with the mounting holes. But, without removing the door trim, how do you know if you need a mounting bracket?
